Information
Your passport is a valuable document.
It should always be either in your own custody or
in the custody of a person duly authorized by you.
If lost or destroyed, the fact and circumstances should
be immediately reported to the nearest Bangladesh
Embassy and to the local police.
PLEASE KEEP A PHOTOCOPY
OF YOUR PASSPORT IN A SAFE PLACE. WITHOUT THESE DETAILS
ISSUANCE OF A DUPLICATE PASSPORT MAY BE DELAYED.
WALK
IN: Applications for all visas/passports/consular
services (Like issue of new/duplicate passports, renewals
and miscellaneous services on passports, legalization/attestation
of documents) are accepted between 09:00 AM and 1:00
PM. Delivery time is between 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. No
application is received after 1:00 PM except in the
cases of emergencies..
MAIL
SERVICE: Outstation applicants may send
their application for passport/consular service by
mail. You must add a return envelope, which, if you
are using a courier service must be prepaid by cash,
or, if you are using postal service must contain postal
stamps in the appropriate amount, with your address
on it (prefferably USPS express/priority and certified).
Please put it to the attention of the Consular Section.
We will not accept a return envelope unless it is
prepaid by cash or does not contain stamps in the
appropriate amount.
However, applications for duplicate passport in lieu
of lost/damaged passport are accepted only in person.
Such applications are not accepted or dispatched by
mail.
FEE: Please Deposit the exact amount in the form of Bank Slip in the name of Bangladesh High Commission. Our bank account is MAYBANK AND the Account number: 564427102268 . Name of the Person / Company concerned must be mentioned on the bank slip . (Online bank transfer / ATM Transfer / ATM Deposit /Cheque deposit is not acceptable )
Visa fee (For Malaysian): RM 41.00 for single entry and RM 86.00 for Multiple entry ( Effective from 1st April 2013 ). For other nationals please contact the number: (03) 42522652

Requirements for visa
- Passports with minimum six (6) months validity.
- Visa application form duly filled in and signed by applicant.
- Three copies of recent photograph of the applicant. (Blue colour back ground)
- Photocopy of passport.
- Visa fee- Bank slip (Rates are different for the different country. Please ask the attending officer/ official).
- Processing time is usually three (3) working days for Malaysia nationals , Processing for other nationals may take upto ten (10) working days .
Business Visa
- Invitation letter from Bangladesh.
- Letter from Local Company ( Leave permission)
Employment Visa
- Letter from the Board of Investment/ BEPZA.
- Appointment letter.
Tourist Visa
- Invitation letter from Bangladesh.
- Letter from Local Company ( Leave permission).
Family members of Bangladeshi National
- Marriage Certificate.
- Birth Certificate for child/ children.
- Photocopy of Bangladeshi Passport.
** Third country citizens are requested to collect visa from own/accredited country unless holding valid employment pass/ work pass / long term stay permit in Malaysia .

PROCESSING TIME:
5-7 days for New Passport (Normal),
1-2 days for New Passports (Urgent),

The
High Commission will get in touch with applicants
in cases where the applications are incomplete/incorrect,
the fees sent are not adequate or not paid in the
acceptable manner or where there are other deficiencies.
